The Society is pleased to offer the following three awards annually. Candidates must be nominated by a Member or Fellow of the Society, and it is preferred but not required that nominees be a member of Division 28 and APA. Nominations of candidates from underrepresented minority groups are highly encouraged. Calls for Nominations are announced each Fall.
MED Associates Brady-Schuster Award
The MED Associates Brady-Schuster Award honors a mid-career or senior scientist who conducts outstanding research underscoring the fundamental importance of behavioral science to psychopharmacology or substance use. The award includes a cash prize, funding support to attend the APA annual meeting, and an engraved plaque.
Annual deadline: January 15th
Eligibility
Persons who are at least 15 years past the date of receipt of the doctoral degree and have an established record of outstanding research in psychopharmacology, behavioral pharmacology, or substance use are eligible for nomination. The nominee's research must underscore the contribution of behavioral science in one or more of these interdisciplinary research areas.

Young Psychopharmacologist Award
The Young Psychopharmacologist Award honors a young scientist doing original, meritorious work in psychopharmacology and encourages excellence in research at the interface between the disciplines of pharmacology and psychology.
The award includes a cash prize, an engraved plaque, and travel support for the recipient to attend and present an address at the annual APA convention.
Annual deadline: January 15th
Eligibility
Persons who are no more than ten years past the date of receipt of the doctoral degree are eligible for consideration. The nomination must be based on work in an area of psychopharmacology, behavioral pharmacology or substance use.

The Outstanding Dissertation Award honors the best doctoral dissertation in psychopharmacology and substance use. The award includes a cash prize, an engraved plaque, and travel support for the recipient to attend and present an address at the annual APA conference.

Eligibility
Students who completed a doctoral program in the past two calendar years are eligible for nomination. The nomination must be based on a completed dissertation in psychopharmacology or substance abuse.
